Silent film and the scenic design found in it’s heyday is a huge influence to us and our work. We take every chance we can get to see it projected on the big screen. On January 29th, the Alamo Drafthouse in Littleton is projecting The Adventures of Prince Achmed as a benefit for the Denver Silent Film Festival. It’s hailed as the first full-length animated feature, but more importantly, it’s a masterpiece full of beautiful images created by a master of shadow puppets, Lotte Reiniger.
